    Even as street food spreads across London’s markets, with great examples in all corners of the city, Kings Cross continues to be one of the better places to sample some of the best street food London has to offer thanks to Eat.St at Kings Cross. This weekend just gone the street food market had its first ever weekend trading so of course I had to head down and grab a few bites.

    Well Kneaded Wagon

    If there was any kind of trend in street food in 2011 it was burgers, what with Meat Wagon and Lucky Chip dominating the scene for much of the year. Well 2012 may only be a few months old but it’s already looking like Pizza might be this years trend. Homeslice Pizza kicked things off at the end of last year and the Pizza Pilgrims (who I really need to try) have recently set up shop on Berwick Street. (more…)

    Ozone Coffee

    I have to admit I’m a bit of a coffee snob, I really can’t stand bad coffee and frankly I’d rather no coffee than a cup of crappy instant. So I’ve loved seeing the growth of London’s coffee scene over the last few years, heavily influenced by Australia and New Zealand’s own coffee culture. Well London’s latest coffee shop, Ozone Coffee, continues with the antipodean theme. They’re a New Zealand based roastery and this London store marks their first entry into the European market.

    Hot Dogs at #blogeatblog

    What do you get when you combine London’s best hot dogs with a group of food obsessed bloggers?  I went down to the second heat of Big Apple Hot Dogs’ #blogEATblog competition last weekend to find out!  Starting with one of Abiye’s excellent hot dogs as their base each of the four entrants was tasked with coming up with their own original topping and then seeing what the hot-dog eating public of Brick Lane thought.  And even though it was a miserable day, with pretty heavy rain it didn’t stop people coming down to check out the competition.
