    Spit & Roast

A few weeks ago I decided the one thing my kitchen was missing was a deep fat fryer, and while my flat mate protested a decent set of pans might have been a better way to spend some money, all I was thinking of was being able to make things like scotch eggs, doughnuts and especially some fried chicken. While my experimenting got underway (and i’ll post some recipes in the next few weeks) I heard of a new street food trader that was going to be selling their own fried chicken in Hackney. Braithwaites Teas

There’s something new in Soho (UPDATE – Now moved to Camden Lock Market), something quintessentially British – a proper cream tea! Braithwaites Teas have only be going for two weeks, but as the British summer slowly comes to life, they couldn’t have picked a better time to launch – especially with the Jubilee just around the corner. London’s street food is a great eclectic group of cultures and cuisines, so it’s wonderful to see something truly British added to the mix.

    Pizza Pilgrims

Clearly i’m on a bit of a pizza kick at the moment as this is my third post on the subject in a row. But London is throwing up some great new pizzas at the moment and it would be rude not to check them out, right? Pizza is one of those things that when its done well it’s fantastic, but when it’s done poorly it can be horrible, all stodgy and blah! Well luckily, Pizza Pilgrims, the latest pizza vendor out on the street knows how to make fantastic Neapolitan style pizza.
