In the spirit of “better late than never” I’m finally getting round to blogging about the Real Street Food Festival that ran on the Southbank a couple of weeks ago. I made two visits over the four day run and had some wonderful food including from a couple of new traders so I didn’t want to let this post slip past. (more…)
One of the places I never got around to blogging about last year was Dirty Burger in Kentish Town. I’ve no idea why I never wrote up one of my many visits there because it was easily one of my favourite places, especially as it’s relatively local for me. Well after another visit this weekend, I figured it was finally time to put pen to paper (so to speak). Better late than never I guess. (more…)
If you’ve ever been to Jubilee Market in Covent Garden you know exactly what it’s like – a crowded tourist trap full of tacky souvenirs – and why it’s normally somewhere to avoid (unless of course a melted bottle ornament is you’re sort of thing). Well now with the opening of Meat Market there’s finally one very good reason to visit. And if you head round the back of the market and find the entrance on Tavistock Street you should be able to avoid the tourist hordes!
