Last weekend the famous Sundance film festival came to London for four days of independent film with more than 30 films and documentaries being showcased. As well as the films and some music events, this year Sundance also partnered with Kerb to host a street food market in the heart of the O2 where the festival was happening. (more…)
In the spirit of “better late than never” I’m finally getting round to blogging about the Real Street Food Festival that ran on the Southbank a couple of weeks ago. I made two visits over the four day run and had some wonderful food including from a couple of new traders so I didn’t want to let this post slip past. (more…)
The 2012 British Street Food Awards took place this weekend with another street party in London outside of Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant. Taking place at the same time as the Ginstock and Rumstock events the place was packed and it was great to see so many people turn out to check out the competition and try the wonderful food on offer.
So you might have heard that later this week the sporting world descends on London for the Olympics. Love it or hate it, London will be full of tourists, athletes and who knows else for the next two weeks. While there might be plenty of negatives, one of the big positives is that street food is going to be everywhere!
